Fully automatic Quenched allay farm [Create]
Posted: Sun Oct 05, 2025 5:14 pm
This farm creates ~4.5 stacks (276) Quenched allay / hour, which is equivalent to ~4.5 Quenched allay / minute (and ~9 dust / second) by utilising only the Create mod (and hexcasting) in just a 5x5x5 cube footprint, with zero* player intervention.
*The player will be required to replace the pickaxes if and when they expire, though for the more durable pickaxes this farm would run out of storage before this happens.
The prerequisites for this farm are as follows:
This farm also requires two pickaxes, one enchanted with silk touch and the other with fortune (the fortune is not neccesary, but will increase the rates of this farm). Unbreaking is advised, but not required.
Additionally this farm requires some media to fill the buffers before it can start. I can personally verify that 6 stacks of amethyst (starting from 1 allay) and 1 stack of blocks works, but you can likely get away with less by moving internal stores about. Either way, you will get plenty return on your investment.
This farm has been tested at both 256 and 128 RPM, using 7680 and 3840 SU respectively (30xRPM). Theoretically there should be no issue running the farm at any RPM between these values, though it has not been tested. Additionally you may be able to underclock the farm (especially when the buffer is filled), but again this has not been tested.
Setup
A video version of the setup is available for those who prefer a more hands on explanation:

This is the zipped Schematicannon NBT file
The schematicannon does not record the spell circle patterns or the focus, so these will have to be written manually. The focus consists of a list of patterns and a value both in a list together which will have to be constructed as such [[patterns],0.25]. Written below are the patterns in that list.
And these are the patterns to be printed on the spell circle, starting from the impetus.
Now attach the machine to a source of rotational power (any exposed shaft will do), ensuring the convayer belt feeds into the chute rather than away, then place a stack of amethyst blocks into the lowest deployer to the left of the collection chest, four stacks and one into the upper basin on the other side of the machine, and the remainder of the amethyst into the impetus chute. Now place your fortune pickaxe in the highest deployer and silk touch pickaxe in the remaining empty deployer.
Now break and replace one observer to start the observer clock (ensuring the focus is not yet placed into the item frame), and put the music disc into the hopper below the jukebox.
You now need to get an allay into the machine; I would recommend keeping at minimum one backup allay as if misused this machine can deplete its stores leading to quite the inconvenience. This is the time where greater teleport can come in handy. Target your allay and teleport it into the chamber, crucially ensuring the spell circle does not activate yet. After the allay has duplicated twice, (5-10 minutes) ensure that there is one allay in each corner of the chamber (the easiest way to do this is with impulse). Now leave the machine until you hear entity cramming (~30 minutes) and ensure the number of allays present is in the 90s (using zone distillation). If something goes wrong during this proccess you may end up with asymmetrical groups (ensuring you do actually have 4 distinct groups), the easiest fix for this is to add more amethyst to the basin.
Once you have the required number of allays, place the focus into the item frame and the farm should kick into action. Leave it for some time (~7 mins) to allow it to fill up its amethyst stores and in no time you should be generating quenched allay at advertised rates.
Note: Rates may vary depending on server tickrate
